In theory this would have worked. The forecast called for 8-10 inches of snow and we knew that school would probably be cancelled. The idea was to get a bunch of us together to drive down to Bristol village and shovel snow for money. Picture this: 8 people in the back of a pick-up with shovels, using road cones to amplify their voices as they screamed "We shovel for money!"
We woke up on Monday morning to very little snow. So we waited a few hours. Finally the storm hit. I figured by 3:30pm there would be enough to hit the streets. At around 3pm I spoke to Sheri Rowinski and she said Bristol had about 1/2 inch. Grrr.
Instead of cancelling, the six of us shoveled Burnham Hall, Weathervane and the church. After that we played football behind the Brown's. MVP: Emily Wood.
