American Dream

We are getting ready for the Variety Show. We looked at Casting Crown's "American Dream" tonight. We then looked at Matthew ch.7 They call this the Sermon on the Mount. Jesus says that if we follow his directions for life, we'll be like the man who built his house on the rock. But if we don't follow his directions, we'll be like the man who built his house on the sand. It is interesting...in both situations, Jesus points out that the rain came down, the flood waters came up and the wind blew in. Regardless of whether we follow God...tough times in life will come. Christians are not exempt. I think the message is...no matter what gets thrown at you in life, if you make Jesus the foundation of your life, you'll weather the storm.
